The Skytech 3002 provides remote thermostatic control, as well as a timer function, for use of gas heating fireplaces with a simple click of a button. The remote control transmitter features an LCD display and operates on (2) 1.5V AAA batteries and uses 3 buttons (MODE/SET/TIMER&TIME) as well as two directional arrow buttons to communicate wirelessly to a receiver that operates on (4) AA batteries. The receiver connects to all standard millivolt valves, and can be mounted up to 20 feet away from the fireplace. Enjoy the ambience of a cozy fire, control the temperature of the room, and benefit from the use of a timer function without sacrificing the comfort of your seat using this fireplace remote control from Skytech.

How do I set my remote and not have a 2 degree variance, not where it is 70 degree in room and waits until gets 68 degree. I want it to kick on at 70.

  • Here are the instructions: https://d1t12uid72pvm7.cloudfront.net/manuals/Skytech/3002-Manual.pdf On page 8 it details the swing temperature adjustments. It can only be set to a 1, 2, 3 degree swing. If you set it to 1, then you will have to set it to 71 for it to turn on at 70.

Is the swing in temperature sensed by the remote or by the receiver. In other words if the remote was carried to a different room would the fireplace kick on and off based on the temperature sensed by the remote in that room?

How do I change to celcius

  • The factory setting for temperature is ºF. To change this setting to ºC, first press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons on the transmitter at the same time. You can see further details on page 3 of the manual here
